The breastfeeding post!

There will be many more post about breastfeeding, but I have to start somewhere and I thought this to be funny and true!

I saw a t-shirt that said "You don't eat your lunch in a toilet cubicle, so why should my baby?!" I'm guilty of this and I honestly hate to admit it, I HATE that something so natural and HEATHLY is looked so down upon. I HATE that I feel I need to find a spot to hide to feed me child. I wear a cover and even if I don't have that available I don't just pull my boob out, I'm a "responsible breastfeeder." If my baby needs to eat I don't want to feel like I'm breaking rules. I once heard a lady rudley tell her son after passing me, "well I guess babies have to eat too." AHHH!!! What is with people now a days??!!

I have to apologize, I really hate to complain, but this is something near & dear to my heart! I LOVE BREASTFEEDING!

You go girl! No need to feel bad about something that is literally and figuratively close to your heart. Confidently feed your kids and let the insecure have their own issues! Following from MBC

Dropping in from MBC. I am a breast feeding mom too. I know how you feel. After 3 boys I still have to go "hide" when we are out and about. As much as society has progressed, breastfeeding perceptions have gone backwards. Keep strong!

My youngest baby is now 7 years old. My oldest is 13. I breastfed three boys so I know where you are coming from! I hated feeling like I was doing something dirty or that I had to hide. But I fed my babies wherever and whenever they needed it. I agree with Tracy, stay strong!

I loved breast feeding too. I breast feed my twins for a year, although I was also a VERY avid pumper and always had bottles on hand everywhere. My husband once got bit miffed when I was going to feed a child in Panera Bread. Yes I covered myself fully...

I have to admit, I hid when I BF my kids but it was more for my own shyness then other people. I say good for you to anyone that has the confidence not to hide! :) Following from FFF.Have a good week!

I'm with you! My LO is 24 mos and we're still going strong. 24 mos. was actually the estimated cut off for me but, there are no signs of weaning here!

I though DS would get uninterested and self wean but, it's not happening. I'm hoping I can wean him before he turns three.

However, I was your typical mom sitting in the middle of the mall on a bench feeding my infant when he was younger and I would dare someone to look at me so I could tell them if they had a problem the solution was easy, LOOK AWAY!

OMG - I love this post. I hated all of this drama 15-16 years ago. You would think that people would grow a little in that time! Sheesh. Family bathrooms in some places here in NY have a rocking chair that a mom can sit in to breast feed, but I sis there and think - ewww....when you flush the toilet that spray comes out 6 feet from the toilet! (Even if you don't see it!)

Following you from MBC/FFF!
